Volunteer

The land trust is overseen by an eleven member Board of Directors that meets at 10:00 A.M. on the third Wednesday of the months of September to June. The meeting is held at the Sanford Springvale Chamber of Commerce Office at 510 Main Street, Springvale, Maine 04083. Any person interested in our activities is invited to attend. In addition to our educational activities we spend time conducting surveys of our holdings, marking property lines, monitoring the state of these properties and doing maintenance and repair projects. All of our work is accomplished by volunteers and since there is always something to do, we welcome volunteers to help us create and repair trails, clean up trash, put up reserve signs and rescue plants that are in danger of being exterminated. We also welcome new members who want to help in providing livable habitat for natural species and area residents.
